STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God, and we teach our students from a Biblical worldview  (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).

  • We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, is our mentor and model. Christ was sinless in nature, and was the demonstration of all God intended for man to be.  (Eph. 5:1-2)

  • We believe that Jesus grew in wisdom (intellectually), stature (physically), and in favor with God (spiritually) and man (socially).  Therefore, our educational goals include the spiritual, social, intellectual and physical areas of our students’ lives. (Luke 2:52)

  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone, we are saved. (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)

  • We believe that parents are to be responsible for the education of their children. BCHS, therefore, strives to include parent(s) in the educational process. (Deuteronomy 6: 4-9; Proverbs 22:6)

  • We believe that the institution of marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to model the love of Christ for His people and to serve both the public and private good as the basic building block of human civilization. Marriage is intended by God to be a thriving, lifelong relationship between a biological man and a biological woman. Biblical marriage is the only legitimate and acceptable context for sexual intimacy. Therefore, Christians are called to defend and protect God’s marriage design and to minister in Christ’s name to those who suffer the consequences of its brokenness. (Gen 2:20-24; Matt 19:4-6; Romans 7:2; 1 Thess 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4)
